What it does
Write one line of notes per student (up to 40 at a time), then choose the length (two sentences to a paragraph) and the tone: warm and encouraging, formal, or plain English for whānau. Each comment starts with a genuine strength, is specific about learning, names a clear next step and, where it fits, says how whānau can help at home.
Use codes like Student A instead of names. Anything you type before the colon on each line is replaced with a code before it's sent. Comments use they, so nothing assumes gender.
Who it's for
Teachers writing end-of-term or end-of-year reports, and anyone writing learning conference notes for whānau.
Why teachers use it
- Specific, not genericEach comment is built from your notes, so it says something true about the student.
- Private by designNames are swapped for placeholders. Add them back when you paste into your reporting system.
- Your voicePick the length and tone, then edit until it reads like you.
How it works
- Add notesA line or two for each student, no names needed.
- DraftGet a comment for every student at once.
- Edit and pasteTweak, then copy into your school's reporting system.
Questions teachers ask
How many comments can I write at once?
Up to 40 students in one go.
Do I have to enter student names?
No, and it's better not to. Any name you type is swapped for a placeholder before drafting.
Can it go straight into my school's reporting system?
Copy the comments and paste them in. Heapso doesn't connect to student management systems for reports.
