Credits are only for the heavy lifting, like slides and uploads. Planning lessons, units and worksheets never uses them, and on Pro and school plans images don't either.

What are credits?
Credits are only for the heavier things AI does: a slide deck, an upload or reading a timetable photo each use 1 credit. Images are included on Pro and school plans (up to 100 a day), and use 1 credit each on Free. A "Best quality" slide deck, written by our most capable model, uses 3. Lesson, unit and worksheet planning never use credits. Every button shows its cost, and your meter shows what's left and when it resets. If a generation fails, you're not charged.
What if I run out of credits?
Everything else keeps working: planning, editing, exporting and the library. You can buy a top-up (50 credits for $5, or 150 for $12, incl. GST), or wait for your monthly allowance to reset. Top-ups last 12 months from purchase and are used after your monthly allowance.
How do I get the bonus credits?
Verify a school email and we'll add 10 bonus credits to use within 14 days. If you signed up with a personal email, add your school email from Plan & billing; you'll still sign in the usual way. Each school email address can unlock the bonus once. The Free plan itself (15 plans and 3 credits a month) works with any email.
Is there a deal for student teachers and new teachers?
Yes. Student teachers (studying initial teacher education) and first-year teachers get one term, 10 weeks, of Pro free. Student teachers confirm their university or provider email; first-year teachers confirm their school email and give their Teaching Council registration number. No card is needed, and you go back to Free automatically at the end. It's one term per person. You can claim it from our New teachers page.
Is planning really unlimited?
Yes, under fair use. That covers any normal teaching load, including regenerating as often as you like. If an account is clearly being shared or automated, we may slow it down, but we'll never cut you off mid-lesson. Images on Pro and school plans are included up to 100 a day.
How does the annual plan work?
Pro annual is $69 a year instead of $84 for 12 monthly payments, a saving of 18% (about 2 months free). You can switch from monthly to annual at any time. The change is immediate and the unused part of your month is credited. Switching back to monthly happens at your renewal date.
How are school seats priced?
School seats are billed yearly, plus GST, and the price per seat drops as you add teachers: $65 a seat for 5–19 seats, $55 a seat for 20–49 seats, $49 a seat for 50+ seats. Every seat is charged at the rate for your total, so 30 seats cost 30 × $55.
How do free trials work?
Pro has a 7-day free trial. We ask for a card up front but charge nothing until the trial ends, and we email you before it does. One trial per person and per card. Schools get a 30-day trial for up to 10 teachers with no card needed.
Can our school use a purchase order?
Yes. Schools pay by credit card, and you can raise a purchase order first: school admins can download a PDF quote (seat price, GST and our GST number) from Plan & billing. Once it is approved, pay by school credit card on the same page. Your PO number is printed on every GST receipt, so your finance office can match it. Extra seats added mid-year are prorated and charged to the card; fewer seats apply at renewal.
Do prices include GST?
Pro and top-up prices include GST. School seats are plus GST, and every receipt is a GST tax invoice showing our GST number.
I already pay for Pro and my school just bought seats. Do I pay twice?
No. Once you have a school seat you can cancel personal Pro from Plan & billing and we'll refund the unused time. Any top-up credits you bought stay yours.
