Timetable import, classes and KAMAR sync

Your timetable and classes, set up once, so plans fit the week you actually teach.

What it does

Import a CSV or calendar (.ics) export from KAMAR, LINC-ED or Hero, any calendar file, or a photo of a printed timetable. Two-week A/B timetables work. A calendar's private link can be checked every night so changes come through.

Schools on KAMAR can connect KAMAR Directory Services. An admin sets it up once and Heapso receives staff, staff timetables, subjects and term dates, then creates each teacher's classes. Nothing about students is taken.

Class profiles hold the year level, learning area, class size, room, periods per week and learning needs (as counts, never names). Any planner can use a class profile so the plan fits.

Who it's for

Secondary teachers with several classes, and school leaders who want staff set up without data entry.

Why teachers use it

  • No retypingYour periods, classes and rooms come straight from the school's system.
  • Plans that fitClass profiles give every plan the right year level and needs.
  • No student dataImports and syncs take timetables, never student records.

How it works

  1. ImportUpload the export, add a calendar link, or ask your admin to connect KAMAR.
  2. Check your classesAdd learning needs and notes to each class profile.
  3. PlanPick a class when you plan and the details are filled in.

Questions teachers ask

Does importing cost credits?
Importing a file or calendar link is free. Reading a photo of a timetable uses 1 credit, and the photo is deleted after it's read.
Does the KAMAR sync read student data?
No. It takes staff details, staff timetables, subjects and term dates only.
Can my AI app see my timetable?
If you connect Heapso to ChatGPT or Claude, it can read your most recent imported timetable to plan around your week.
